Freeform Sassenach (The English Wanderer)

NEW summer 2023 - a beautiful all purpose Freeform treeless saddle designed by Whitney, for most all disciplines out there. Whether you’re wandering through the woods on a slow trail ride, doing endurance on a hundred mile ride, English pleasure in the ring, hunter jumper, or dressage - you name it, this saddle will take you where you need to go.

The seat is crafted after our original classic seat. Super comfortable English style seat with a narrow twist. A lovely hand tooled mono flap with a super soft & secure cradling knee roll that tucks you in so you feel very secure.

NEW - the Freeform Sassenach Treeless Saddle

This lovely new saddle has a combined seat/mono flat that fits nicely over two of our saddle bases:

  • Endurance style saddle base, which is available with interchangeable dressage billets
  • Extreme style base, which is built up under the rider's seat to allow for even weight distribution. and offers both interchangeable dressage billets and center fire rigging, making it a great choice for gaited horses and horses with a very forward girth grove.

Saddle Base Sizes

  • Endurance Base - with interchangeable dressage billets
  • Extreme Base - with both interchangeable dressage billets and center fire rigging. Center fire rigging is great for gaited horse riders and for the horse that has a very forward girth grove. The extra billets are removable. The extreme base has extra support built into the base, under the rider's seat, to allow for even weight distribution.
