Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders?
A feediem saddle allows the horse to move his shoulders and is also very lightweight and comfortable for both horse and rider. It also will help with the horses top line. It allows the horse to move better without any pain from poor saddle fit and allows for comfortable rides for both horse and rider
What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?
I have a very short backed horse and a lot of saddles don’t fit his needs and go past his last rib. I have had problems with the saddles being to long on the back and also problems with bridging.
How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse?
It will help me and my horse tremendously because we will be able to work together as a team and our long endurance rides will allow both of us to be comfortable and enjoy out time together. It will help his top line and freedom of movement and be comfortable for me especially on long rides. I also have a very small budget and don’t have a lot of financial means for a new saddle and I don’t want to hurt i hi I’m with a poor fitting saddle and want to have many long years together in the saddle. A healthy horse is a happy horse.

1. Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders?
Freeform saddles are beneficial for both horse and rider in many different way. Here are some of the most important ways they are beneficial in my opinion. They are able to adjust to your horse as your horse conditions, his or her backline. The treeless saddle allows for your horse’s shoulders to move more freely( this is huge as I ride a gaited horse). The saddle forms to your body within minutes of you riding in it giving the correct support snd comort that is needed when riding long distances. You are also able to feel the horse directly and this is not a bulky saddle like most on the market.
1. What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?
I have personally tried over 10 different brands ( they include Tucker, specialized, circle y, Texan and many others). of saddles and have to keep on selling and refitting my pony. He is only 4 and as he muscles up I find that saddles are not fitting well. He has absolutely no wither and this makes finding a saddle that truly fit him is extremely hard. I rode in my very good friend Tammy Simpson saddle and instantly fell in love with these saddles. Ever since then I’ve been trying to find one that is used as I cannot afford a brand new one just yet.
2. How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse?
This will change everything for my horse and I!! I have not been able to find a saddle that truly fits my horse Romeo. I tried my friends saddle on my horse and I rode in it and loved that it fit him perfectly and also I could feel him underneath me!! I have not been able to afford a brand new Freeform just yet but have been looking for used ones and unfortunately they are hard to come by because everyone loves theirs!!! This would truly be magical if we were able to win one of these saddles! Thank you for even making this an opportunity to be apart of!! What a wonderful company!!

I would love to have a freeform saddle as I have a mare that gets a sore back with treed saddles. my husband rides Lexi in a ghost but I feel a Freeform will be more like a treeless dressage type saddle for me we do endurance and Lexi has short back. I feel perched on Lexi in treed saddles and have given up trying to fit her to one. So hoping my Arabian mare and I can have a Freeform saddle some day

Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders? Freeform saddles are one of the most adjustable saddles, allowing customized fit for both horse and rider. It is one of the most stable treeless saddles I have ever ridden in, when used on my short backed TWH it really helped her by taking pressure off her shoulders and she was really able to gate and rack properly. It was an amazing difference from my treed English saddle.
What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?
As mentioned above I currently have a short backed TWH, plus a wide backed TWH (husband and kid horse) and an almost 2 year old whom I will be starting under saddle in the next year or two. She is very narrow build and probably won’t fit a regular saddle.
How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse?
All 3 horses are very different build and it would be awesome to have a saddle that could fit all 3 with some adjustments.

The construction allows free and full extension of the shoulders because there is no tree to imped the movement. The pommel is also non weight bearing, giving freedom of movement without causing pain. This all helps to rebuild the topline.
For the rider (horse too), the saddles are so adjustable you can get a real balanced ride. Also, there is less concussion with the Freeform than a treed saddle. My old, hurt hips really appreciate that.
Challenges, oh my gosh. My new horse is a retired broodmare and has a swayback and loss of topline. I’ve been rehabbing her, but it’s taking a long time due to numerous set backs. I need a secure saddle and NEED a narrow twist for my old, narrow arthritic hips. The Freeform I have now has accommodated both me and my horse. It’s probably the only saddle that will work for for both of us.
As I just said, I think the only saddle that will accommodate both my horse and myself is the Freeform.
I would love Whitney’s saddle the Sassnenach. Would love the knee rolls, it’s a beautiful saddle!
I will probably have to have a hip replacement soon due to my degenerative hip giving me fits. But I’ve still gotta ride, somehow and I believe the Freeform is the (only) answer.

Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders?
There has been a lot of thought behind the making of Freeform saddle, comfort , fit and balanced movement for both horse and rider.
What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?
I struggle with finding the right fit for my large shoulder gaited horse, as his body changes from winter to spring to summer, the fit of his treed saddle adds concerns to how his saddle is fitting him, there is always a issue. I want the best for him and for him to be comfortable. For me is finding a saddle with a narrow twist and a comfortable deep seat.
How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse? For my horse, knowing he is comfortable and not worrying all the time if the saddle is hindering him in any way.
For me, turning 60 this year, I want to be in a saddle that fits me, that I’m in a comfortable saddle with a deep secure seat that I’m in the proper alignment. I want to be able to go on a trail ride knowing my horse is in the best saddle for him and that we are both comfortable so I can have fun and enjoy my ride.. peace of mind!

Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders?
The saddles provide comfort and stability for both Rider and Horse. The adjustability of the girth, seat, and stirrups allow for a more accurate fit to horse and rider.
What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?
My Arabian has a short back and I have short legs. The Freeform saddles provide a wide range of adjustability for myself and the horse. I believe saddles need to be made specifically for the horse or need to be treeless.
How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse?
I plan on competing in the Tevis and putting many, many miles on my saddle. The Freeform is light-weight, adjustable, and comfortable. Even as my young horse leans out and grows the Freeform saddle allows for the most adjustability that can be found nowhere else.

Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders?
The saddles are well made and designed to fit a variety of horses well. They are very high quality and allow a horse to move freely, which allows for better movement for horse and rider. An ill fitted saddle can lead to a lot of problems both physically and mentally for a horse. Being a high quality treeless saddle allows for a better opportunity to fit more horses than a rigid tree.
What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?
I have a very very short backed, wide shouldered MFT. She has been nearly impossible to fit. Even having a custom made treed saddle hasn’t worked for her. Treeless is really the only option.
How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse?
It would be the world to us and allow us to ride trails again. I’ve been riding her bareback but after having kids, I want the security of a saddle. Having a freeform saddle would be huge for us to enjoy trails again.
