Balance, freedom and comfort are why Freeform saddles are beneficial to horse and rider.
My walker is a hard to fit for a saddle. She is short backed and her withers are wide. She deserves the best.
I believe she would benefit in a huge way with this type of saddle. She would be more comfortable, have great movement and a great fitting saddle!

I’ve never used one of your saddles but I love the look, and the concept of them. I think they could be my ultimate solution!
My mare Bunny has a issue from an old injury to her back, and inverted sacrum, chiropractic, massage and muscle therapy as well as physical therapy work has helped a lot, she’s not lame and doesn’t seem in pain, but I’d like to find a saddle that would make her the absolute most comfortable being ridden.
I also have major back issues, arthritis, spinal surgery, bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, and I guess we make a good team! I’m not planning on eventing with her, but trailriding basically and I want lightweight comfort for us both!

“Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders?”
I am a professional in the horse industry who has been a huge fan of Freeform saddles for a very long time, but I must say that the development and advancement of this brand in recent years has been nothing short of amazing. There are now so many beautiful models that work for a wide variety of disciplines, and the health/comfort benefits to the horse are simply unmatched. Horses can move freely, don’t get pinched or rubbed, and unlike most treeless saddles, Freeform saddles actually do a fabulous job of weight distribution, as evidenced by the many top-level endurance riders who train and compete in them successfully. Those horses work harder than most of us can even conceive of, and their backs are checked so often during competition that if something wasn’t right, it would be known very quickly. This is why I always say that if something works for endurance riders, it WORKS! Now, I am definitely not an endurance rider: at this stage of the game, I am an older rider with chronic pain issues, and I find it difficult to even sit in anything other than a Freeform for more than a few minutes. I truly believe that if it weren’t for Freeform, I would no longer be able to ride at all. Another benefit of buying a Freeform saddle is that you get exceptional service from lovely, highly knowledgeable people who will ensure that you get the perfect saddle and pad for your needs and that everything is adjusted properly. The Freeform people genuinely CARE, and it is clear from the get-go that helping you and your horse is far more important to them than selling you something.
“What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?”
I have had a number of hard-to-fit horses over the years, and after my big name, multi-thousand dollar, custom made and custom fitted dressage saddle made one of my horses very sore, even after several adjustments, I gave up on treed saddles altogether and started researching treeless options. I tried quite a few and was beginning to think the whole treeless idea was a very bad one indeed when I discovered Freeform. That was life-changing for me and my horses, and I haven’t wanted to own anything else ever since. Having since had several horses that would have been a nightmare to fit in any kind of tree, I have been even more thankful for Freeform.
“How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse?”
I admit that I do already own a Freeform saddle, but it would be wonderful and very useful to have another one, as I not only ride my own horses at home, but often ride at a training barn a ways away from me, and it would make my life much easier to have a saddle I could keep down there so that I would not have to haul mine back and forth in the car all the time. As for the general reasons why these saddles are helpful, there just isn’t any other treeless saddle on the market that can match the fit, comfort, balance, adjustability, back protection, beauty and quality of a Freeform. I recommend them all the time!

Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders?
It allows freedom of movement. That helps not only with movement but providing pain free riding to.
What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?
Balance. Either the back is to low or the front is to low due to the confirmation of their backs. One horse is wide while the other has a shark fin and is gaited. Heck, I had a horse break the cross ties and run from me when he saw his saddle come out of the tack room. No worries, I sold that saddle. But it really has been hard finding saddles that don’t cause pain or inhibit and fit propery which is where a free form saddle would come in to play.
How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse? Relaxation. Simply put. It would help my horse/horses be relaxed.

Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders?
Freeform saddles give the best range of fit solutions for horses and riders on the market. They provide great support and total freedom in range of motion for your horse. As a professional saddle fitter and avid endurance rider, I have laid my hands on many many brands of treed and treeless saddles, and I have continually been impressed with the Freeform brand, it’s my go to saddle for my personal horses and myself. You can adjust just about everything, from density of the support panels to the rigging placement to the stirrup placement, and more! The rider has a wide range of seat options, and can tweak the balance so it’s perfect for your individual body shape!
What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?
In my personal development as a long-distance rider, I quickly became educated that my body was not going to be happy in a treed saddle beyond 30 miles. As my horses and I have progressed to longer and longer distances, I found that the Freeform allows my body the best balance and support without making my hips tight. I have tweaked the balance to perfection for us, so that at the end of a long 100 miler when my muscle tone and balance is more than a little shaky, I can let the saddle take care of me, and it does!
How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse?
I have been continually amazed at my Freeform’s performance at the higher levels of endurance, where veterinarian’s check a horse for soreness in the back, and as we have passed our vet checks with flying colors on muscle tone even on the tough mountain rides and the rides with a lot of road concussion. Long rides and multi-days can change a horses shape, and I never have to worry about my Freeform not fitting because it adapts. My horse’s muscle and recovery rates are fantastic, and so are MINE! I can’t fathom riding these distances in anything else now!

This would be for my hubby. He has a hard time finding any saddle comfortable. He perfers bareback but on trails he needs a saddle. A free-form would be the perfect one but we can’t really afford a new one. I have fitting found used are impossible to come by.

Freeform saddles are beneficial to horse and rider for many reasons as I have found. But the top reasons for me are the great feel I have with my horse while riding in one, and simply the horses comfort.
The challenges I’ve had with saddle fitting almost often pertains to my Gaited horse’s movement. I need a saddle to give freedom of movement especially in the shoulder. I also very much love a narrow twist, which also can be hard to find in a Gaited saddle
After having a rotator cuff surgery, I couldn’t afford a brand new Freeform saddle, but I did find a used one. It had been a godsend so I can still ride because of the lightweight of the saddle. I can lift it up with one arm. I ride several breeds of Gaited horse and this saddle has felt amazing on all of them so far from Paso Fino to standardbred. It has changed the game for me.

Why are Freeform treeless saddles beneficial for horses and riders?
Freeform saddles are made to fit the horse properly and lightweight and comfortable for both the horse and rider.
What challenges have you and your horse had with saddles and saddle fit?
My horse is a Tennessee Walker and she has a slightly high wither and doesn’t like any pressure at all on it.
I’m short and always have problems with stirrups short enough for me to sit right in the saddle and these saddles are fit for the rider.
How will a Freeform saddle specifically help you and your horse?
Freeform saddle will be lightweight for me to lift up on my horse and comfortable to ride the trails.
The saddle will be made to fit Sadie and she will appreciate the comfort of no pressure on her withers and also the weight of the saddle.
We both will love to ride in style and comfort with our Freeform saddle.
